On February 27, fighting intensified along the eastern front, with Ukrainian military reports indicating 120 combat engagements since the start of the day. Russian forces conducted 57 air strikes, utilizing 173 guided bombs and deploying over 5,300 kamikaze drones.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces detailed that the majority of hostilities occurred in the North-Slobozhansky and Kursk directions, where Russian forces launched 112 artillery strikes. In the South-Slobozhansky area, two assaults were reported against Ukrainian positions.
In the Kupiansk sector, a single attack targeted the area near Novoplatonivka, while Ukrainian defenders repelled four assaults in the Lyman direction. The Sloviansk front saw seven attempts by Russian forces to advance.
Further updates indicated that in the Kramatorsk region, the aggressor attacked once near Predtechine. The Konstantynivka direction experienced 13 assaults, and the Pokrovsk area faced 23 attacks. Preliminary assessments suggest that 26 enemy soldiers were killed and 15 wounded in these confrontations. Additionally, two vehicles, eight enemy shelters, an ammunition depot, and various military assets were destroyed or damaged.
In the Oleksandrivka direction, Russian forces attempted to improve their positions with two attacks towards Zlahoda and Ternove. The Hulyaipole area reported 33 assaults, with ongoing engagements near Dobropillia, Pryluky, Zaliznychnyi, Zelenyi, Varvarivka, Hulyaipilske, and Staroukrainka, where nine assaults remain unresolved.
Intense combat continues on the eastern front, with significant air strikes and ground assaults reported by Ukrainian forces. The situation remains critical as both sides engage in heavy fighting.
