In the Pokrovsk direction, Russian forces launched 51 attacks, attempting to advance in areas including Bilytske, Rodynske, Myrnohrad, Pokrovsk, Kotlyne, Udačne, Novomykolaivka, Novopidhorodne, Molodetske, Novo Shakhove, Chervonyi Lyman, Novopavlivka, Dachne, and towards Hryshyne, Shevchenka, and Filia. One assault is still ongoing.
Intense fighting is also reported in the Huliaipole direction, where 32 Russian attacks have been recorded, with another assault currently in progress.
Nearly 50 battles occurred throughout the day in the Kostiantynivka and Oleksandrivka directions, with 26 and 19 attacks respectively.
Combat operations continue in the South Slobozhansky, Kupiansk, Lyman, Sloviansk, Kramatorsk, Orikhiv, and Dnipro directions.
On March 26, the Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Oleksandr Syrskyi, stated that intense combat operations are ongoing in the Southern operational zone, with Ukrainian forces monitoring the regrouping of Russian troops.
In an interview with Radio Svoboda on March 19, Ruslan Habinet, commander of the 5th Separate Heavy Mechanized Brigade, which is engaged in combat tasks in the Pokrovsk direction, confirmed that defense units continue to control specific areas of Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad in Donetsk.
Military analysts have noted an escalation in hostilities in the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, attributing this to improved weather conditions, and anticipate an increase in Russian ground operations by the end of March.
