Intense Fighting Continues on Eastern Frontlines in Ukraine

On March 6, Ukrainian forces reported a significant escalation in combat activities along the eastern front, with a total of 135 clashes recorded since the start of the day. The most intense fighting occurred in the Pokrovsk, Kostyantynivka, and Huliaipole directions, where 22, 20, and 19 confrontations took place, respectively.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine provided an update at 10 PM, detailing that Russian forces conducted 54 airstrikes, dropped 175 guided bombs, deployed 3,565 kamikaze drones, and carried out 2,506 shelling incidents targeting both civilian areas and Ukrainian military positions.

In specific regions, the situation remains tense. In the North Slobozhansk and Kursk areas, two attacks were reported. Meanwhile, in the South Slobozhansk direction, Russian troops launched four assaults against Ukrainian defenders.

Ukrainian forces successfully repelled four attacks in the Kupiansk sector and seven in the Lyman direction. The enemy attempted to advance eight times in the Sloviansk area and conducted two assaults in the Kramatorsk region.

In the Kostyantynivka direction, Russian forces executed 20 assaults against Ukrainian positions, while 22 attacks were noted in the Pokrovsk area. The enemy also made three advances in the Oleksandrivka direction and engaged in 19 clashes in Huliaipole. Additionally, four confrontations occurred in the Orikhiv direction, and Ukrainian units repelled one attack in the Dniprovsk direction.

The ongoing conflict in Ukraine has seen a marked increase in hostilities, with numerous clashes reported across various frontlines. The Ukrainian military continues to defend against multiple attacks, highlighting the persistent volatility in the region.
