Deadly Drone Strike in Odesa Claims Two Lives

A Russian drone strike on Odesa on March 28 resulted in the deaths of two individuals, a 34-year-old man who died at the scene and a 35-year-old woman who succumbed to her injuries in the hospital. Local authorities reported that more than 100 Shahed drones were launched in the region during the attack.

The strike caused significant damage to civilian, residential, and port infrastructure, with the Odesa district being the hardest hit. Among the affected facilities was a maternity hospital, where patients, children, and staff had taken shelter during the assault.

In addition to the fatalities, 12 other people sustained injuries, including a young child. One individual is in critical condition, while six others are reported to be in moderate condition. The remaining injured are receiving outpatient care.

The debris from the attack has been cleared, allowing for recovery efforts to proceed. President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that the assault involved over 60 strike drones launched against Odesa in a coordinated attack.

A recent drone attack in Odesa has resulted in two fatalities and multiple injuries, highlighting ongoing hostilities in the region. Recovery efforts are underway as local authorities assess the damage to infrastructure.
