Ukraine Achieves Strong Performance at 2026 Winter Paralympics

The Ukrainian team concluded its participation in the XIV Winter Paralympic Games held in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo, securing a total of 19 medals. This tally includes three gold, eight silver, and eight bronze medals.

In terms of overall medal count, Ukraine ranked third among 55 participating nations and finished seventh in the overall standings.

Key athletes contributing to Ukraine’s success included biathletes Oleksandr Kazik, Taras Rad, and Oleksandra Kononova, who each claimed gold medals.

China led the medal table with 44 medals, which comprised 15 golds, while the United States followed with 24 medals, including 13 golds.

The next Winter Paralympic Games are scheduled to take place from March 1 to March 10, 2030, in the French Alps.

Ukraine's performance at the 2026 Winter Paralympics was marked by a total of 19 medals, placing them third in medal count and seventh overall. The event showcased strong competition, particularly from China and the United States.
