Ukraine Imposes Sanctions on Companies Supporting Russian Military Industry

In a decisive move, Ukraine has enacted sanctions against companies and individuals linked to Russia’s military-industrial complex. This action targets those facilitating sanctions evasion and engaging in illegal business activities in temporarily occupied territories, as well as those involved in the construction of the Kerch Bridge.

The sanctions package includes 26 individuals and 31 legal entities. Among those sanctioned are firms that produce underwater, surface, and aerial unmanned robotic systems and their associated software.

The list also encompasses companies that manufacture and service various weaponry, including electronic warfare systems, air defense weaponry, armored vehicles, submarines, auxiliary naval vessels, port equipment, and their components.

Additionally, sanctions have been placed on enterprises within the aviation sector, specifically those producing and repairing parts for helicopters in the Mi-8, Mi-17, Mi-171, Mi-172, and Mi-14 families.

A separate sanctions package targets seven individuals and eleven legal entities, including manufacturers of components for missiles such as the X-101, X-59M2/M2A, and Iskander-K, as well as companies involved in illegal business in occupied territories and the construction of the Crimean Bridge.

Ukraine plans to share all necessary information with international partners to synchronize sanctions across global jurisdictions.

“These sanctions strike at the core of the Russian military-industrial complex, from weapon manufacturers to networks that facilitate sanctions evasion. We are systematically closing off channels, including activities in temporarily occupied territories,” stated Vladislav Vlasuk, the President’s representative on sanctions policy.

Ukraine has implemented sanctions against numerous entities linked to Russia's military sector, aiming to disrupt operations and enforce international compliance. This comprehensive measure targets both manufacturers and those facilitating sanctions evasion.
