U.S. President Donald Trump has indicated that Cuba may be the next target for regime change following the anticipated fall of the Iranian government. Speaking recently, Trump asserted that the U.S. would play a significant role in the potential collapse of the Cuban administration.
He also suggested that a new leadership in Venezuela could be instrumental in this process. “Venezuela is doing fantastically. They are doing a fantastic job. Our relationship with them is excellent,” Trump stated.
Trump pointed to increasing instability in Cuba, which he attributed to the recent leadership changes in Venezuela. He mentioned, “They need help, we are talking to Cuba,” and implied that the deteriorating situation on the island is partly a result of U.S. pressure, particularly the cessation of Venezuelan oil supplies.
He remarked, “Well, this is due to my intervention, intervention that is taking place… Obviously, otherwise they wouldn’t have this problem. We have cut off all oil, all money… everything that comes from Venezuela, which was their only source. Cuba will also fall,” he concluded.
