Olesya Otradnova Registered as New Member of Ukrainian Parliament

The Central Election Commission of Ukraine has officially registered Olesya Otradnova as a member of the Ukrainian Parliament. This decision follows the review of her application and the required documentation.

Otradnova was elected during the snap parliamentary elections held on July 21, 2019, representing the Servant of the People party from the nationwide multi-member constituency, securing the 160th position on the party list.

Her parliamentary authority will commence upon taking the oath in the session hall of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

Olesya Otradnova is a lawyer and academic, born in 1977 in Blagoveshchensk, Russia. She has spent her entire professional career in Kyiv.

In 1999, she graduated from the law faculty of Taras Shevchenko National University and subsequently remained at the institution, progressing from a lecturer to a professor and deputy dean of the faculty.

She holds a Doctor of Law degree and is a certified attorney. Otradnova ran for Parliament in 2019 on the Servant of the People party list. For the past five years, until 2025, she has led the Training Center for Prosecutors of Ukraine, overseeing the education and professional development of prosecution staff.

It is noteworthy that Otradnova will assume her parliamentary role following the resignation of Roman Kravets from his mandate. Reports suggest that Kravets may be associated with the pro-government Telegram channel ‘Joker.’ Additionally, media sources indicate that he has been in active communication with the President’s Office.

A Forbes investigation, utilizing the Getcontact service, confirmed that many users have Kravets’ number saved as ‘Roma Kravets Joker.’

Olesya Otradnova has been registered as a member of the Ukrainian Parliament following her election in 2019. She will take office after the resignation of Roman Kravets, who has been linked to a pro-government Telegram channel.
