Melania Trump Facilitates Return of Ukrainian Children from Russia

On February 12, U.S. First Lady Melania Trump succeeded in bringing home an undisclosed number of Ukrainian children who had been transported to Russia following the onset of the war between Russia and Ukraine.

This marks the third instance where Melania Trump has been involved in the return of children taken from Ukraine by Russian authorities. In her comments, she noted that both Ukraine and Russia are “committed to the task of returning children.”

“While all sides are cooperating, and our communications remain strong, I urge Russia and Ukraine to intensify their efforts to ensure the safe return of every child to their families and guardians,”

she stated.

The First Lady added that discussions are ongoing regarding the return of additional children and suggested that further progress is expected in this area.

“Today marks the third reunion since I began strategically collaborating with both countries. I have no doubt that more progress will be made,”

Melania Trump said.

Melania Trump announced the return of Ukrainian children from Russia, highlighting ongoing negotiations for additional repatriations.
