Israel has announced the successful targeting of high-ranking Iranian officials during a two-day military operation, claiming the elimination of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and several key figures associated with Iranian proxy organizations.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) stated, “Following the elimination of the Supreme Leader of the Iranian terrorist regime, the IDF declares the eradication of all senior leaders of terrorist organizations along the Iranian axis of terror.” This operation reportedly included strikes that led to the deaths of prominent leaders from various groups.
Among those reportedly killed are:
- Hassan Nasrallah, leader of the terrorist organization Hezbollah;
- Yahya Sinwar, leader of Hamas;
- Mohammed Deif, commander of Hamas’s military wing;
- Mohammed al-Ghamari, chief of staff for the Houthis;
- Senior Iranian officials, including Gholam Ali Rashid, commander of the central command of Khatam al-Anbiya, Mohammad Bagheri, chief of staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, and Hossein Salami, commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, among others.
The IDF emphasized that these officials have been involved in efforts to undermine the State of Israel for decades, contributing to the brutal attacks that occurred on October 7, as well as numerous other terrorist activities against Israel and its citizens.
Additionally, the IDF released infographics detailing the Iranian officials and their proxies that were reportedly eliminated in the strikes.
