Iran has officially declared the initiation of an unprecedented military response following the death of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has stated that its forthcoming actions are intended to alter the course of history in the Middle East.
In a strongly worded statement, the IRGC announced plans for significant retaliation against what it termed the “enemies” of Iran. Targets will include not only Israeli sites but also U.S. military infrastructure throughout the region.
“This will be the most powerful offensive operation in the history of the Islamic Republic. We will not stop until the enemy is defeated,” the IRGC stated.
The Iranian leadership has identified key targets for its military operations:
-
U.S. military bases in the region, particularly in Iraq and Syria.
-
Strategic sites in Israel, referred to as the “Zionist entity.”
-
Decision-making centers responsible for the operation that led to Khamenei’s death.
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian confirmed that the country is rejecting any attempts at diplomatic resolution at this time. He characterized the killing of Khamenei as a “serious crime” that necessitates a forceful response.
“We will make America and the Zionist entity regret this. Our response will be so powerful that it will force Washington and Tel Aviv to capitulate,” Pezeshkian emphasized, adding that the legacy of Khamenei will continue.
Reports from Al Jazeera indicate that Iranian missile units have been placed on high alert. Analysts express concerns that the planned offensive could involve extensive attacks utilizing ballistic missiles and numerous suicide drones.
In response, both the United States and Israel have increased their military presence in the region, preparing to counter any potential attacks. The global community is now bracing for a significant military conflict that could extend well beyond the confines of the Middle East.
In a related development, Reza Pahlavi, the Crown Prince of Iran, referred to Khamenei’s death as the beginning of a “national holiday” and effectively the end of the Islamic Republic.
Iran has announced a military response following the death of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, targeting U.S. and Israeli interests. The situation has escalated tensions in the region, prompting increased military readiness from both the U.S. and Israel.
