Igor Strogiy Appointed as Head of Ukraine’s High Anti-Corruption Court

The High Anti-Corruption Court of Ukraine has officially appointed Igor Strogiy as its new head. This decision was made during a judges’ meeting on March 25, 2026.

Alongside Strogiy, Dmitry Mykhailenko has been selected as his deputy. The head of the court is chosen through a secret ballot among the judges, with a term lasting three years, and individuals are not eligible for consecutive terms.

Strogiy has been a judge at the High Anti-Corruption Court since its establishment in 2019. Prior to this role, he served as a judge at the Shargorod District Court in the Vinnytsia region and has experience as a legal advisor.

Throughout his tenure, Strogiy has presided over significant cases involving high-ranking officials and former members of parliament. Notably, he has been involved in cases concerning oligarch Igor Kolomoisky, former Supreme Court head Vsevolod Knyazev, and MP Lyudmyla Marchenko.

Igor Strogiy has been appointed as the new head of Ukraine's High Anti-Corruption Court, following a judges' meeting. He brings extensive experience from his previous roles in the judiciary and has handled high-profile cases involving prominent political figures.
