Global Participation Expected in Trump’s Peace Council Initiative

U.S. President Donald Trump has asserted that all nations will eventually join the newly proposed Peace Council, which he describes as the most prestigious organization globally. He indicated that those countries currently hesitant will ultimately become members.

Trump characterized the Peace Council as a unique entity, emphasizing its authority and the prominence of its members, which he claims include some of the world’s greatest leaders. He noted that such an initiative has not been seen in history before.

While discussing the countries that have not yet joined, Trump expressed a firm stance, stating, “Some are being a bit tricky. That doesn’t work. You can’t be tricky with me. But they will all join, all of them. We will deal separately with a few countries that we really do not want to see due to the problems they create.”

The Peace Council was officially introduced by Trump during the World Economic Forum in Davos on January 22. He called on global leaders to engage in this new format for conflict resolution.

Trump confirmed that he has invited Russian President Vladimir Putin to join the Peace Council. Additionally, reports indicate that the U.S. is conducting private negotiations regarding Trump’s plans for the Gaza Strip as part of this initiative.

However, the response from the European Union has been cautious. EU officials have expressed concerns about the establishment of this body, highlighting potential risks to existing international institutions.

Furthermore, the Vatican has announced it will not participate in the Peace Council, instead reaffirming its support for the United Nations’ position.

President Trump claims that all countries will eventually join the Peace Council, a new initiative aimed at conflict resolution. While some nations have already joined, others remain hesitant, prompting mixed reactions from global leaders and institutions.
