China has announced the appointment of a special envoy to the Middle East, aimed at mediating escalating tensions between the United States, Israel, and Iran. This initiative comes as part of Beijing’s efforts to foster dialogue and prevent further conflict in the region.
During a conversation with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi emphasized China’s readiness to play a constructive role in peace negotiations. “China will send a special envoy for Middle East affairs to the countries in the region for mediation,” Wang stated.
