On January 16, Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko met with Czech President Petr Pavel during his visit to Ukraine. The meeting focused on expressing gratitude for the military and humanitarian support provided by the Czech Republic.
During the discussions, Svyrydenko highlighted ongoing initiatives under the Ukraine Facility program, which includes the modernization of hospitals in frontline regions. She noted that six cogeneration units supplied by the Czech Republic, with a total capacity of 1.45 megawatts, are currently operational in the Kharkiv region, ensuring a stable heat supply to Chuhuiv. Additionally, two more cogeneration units are in the process of being connected to the city hospital.
Svyrydenko announced plans to sign an intergovernmental agreement on technical and financial cooperation, which is expected to strengthen ties between the two nations. She emphasized the effectiveness of established formats, including joint government consultations and an intergovernmental commission focused on economic, industrial, and scientific-technical cooperation.
Petr Pavel’s visit to Ukraine began in Kyiv on the morning of January 16, following his previous stop in Lviv.
