Ukraine Implements Scheduled Power Outages Amid Energy Crisis

On Thursday, March 12, Ukraine will implement scheduled power outages across all regions due to damage sustained by the energy infrastructure from Russian attacks. The outages are set to occur from 5 PM to 11 PM, during which industrial consumers will also face power restrictions.

The outages are a direct result of recent missile and drone strikes targeting Ukraine’s energy system. In a statement, the national energy company, Ukrenergo, advised that the situation is fluid, and residents should check the official websites of local energy providers for specific outage times and affected areas.

Consumers are encouraged to conserve electricity during the designated hours when power is available. Earlier today, some regions in western Ukraine already began implementing these schedules, marking the first return to such measures in nearly a month following a period of relative stability in the energy system.

Ukraine is set to enforce power outages nationwide due to damage from Russian strikes on its energy infrastructure. Residents are advised to check local resources for specific outage details and to conserve energy during available hours.
