On Friday, March 20, Ukraine will initiate hourly power outages across all regions. Additionally, power restrictions will be enforced for industrial consumers.
Hourly outages for residential users will take place from 08:00 to 22:00, while industrial consumers will face power limitations from 08:00 to 00:00.
Ukrenergo officials reiterated that these measures are a response to the extensive damage inflicted on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure due to ongoing attacks by Russian forces.
“The situation in the energy system may change. For specific times and durations of outages at your location, please refer to the official pages of your regional energy provider,” the statement read.
Ukrainians have also been urged to conserve electricity whenever it is available according to the schedule.
This winter has been particularly challenging for Ukrainians amid the ongoing conflict, with numerous attacks targeting the nation’s energy facilities involving a significant number of missiles and drones.
Ukraine is set to enforce hourly power outages starting March 20 due to ongoing energy challenges stemming from Russian attacks. Residents and industrial users will face specific outage times, and citizens are encouraged to use electricity conservatively.
