DTEK Restores Power to Over 1.8 Million Households Amid Ongoing Conflict

In February, DTEK’s energy teams successfully restored electricity to more than 1.8 million households affected by hostile attacks in Ukraine. Despite security challenges and the complexities of wartime operations, the company managed to fully or partially restore power in over 1,400 settlements across four regions and the capital.

The key achievements for February include:

  • Odesa Region: Power was restored to 647,200 families.
  • Donetsk Region: Electricity was returned to 584,100 households.
  • Dnipropetrovsk Region: Nearly 346,300 homes regained power.
  • Kyiv Region and the capital: Specialists restored electricity to almost 227,200 homes in the region and over 15,300 in Kyiv itself.

Alina Bondarenko, CEO of DTEK Networks, emphasized that despite ongoing attacks, the energy teams are committed to maintaining the energy front. Since the onset of the full-scale war, DTEK has restored power to a total of 39.1 million households across five regions, with some facilities requiring repairs multiple times.

“Each deployment is conducted under heightened risk, following approval from military and emergency services, with the understanding that threats can re-emerge at any moment. We continue to fight for electricity in the homes of Ukrainians,” Bondarenko stated.

DTEK specialists are actively working in regions experiencing intense combat, collaborating with the Armed Forces of Ukraine and emergency services to restore electrical networks as soon as they receive the necessary permissions.

DTEK has made significant strides in restoring electricity to millions of households in Ukraine amidst ongoing conflict. Their efforts reflect a commitment to maintaining essential services despite the dangers posed by the war.
