Ukrainian Railways has announced changes to train routes in several regions due to extensive enemy attacks and damage to railway infrastructure. The adjustments will affect services in Rivne, Vinnytsia, and Zhytomyr oblasts, leading to delays for passengers.
The railway operator confirmed that reserve locomotives have been deployed to all affected areas without power. Inspections and repairs of the infrastructure have already begun.
In a statement, the company noted that monitoring teams successfully safeguarded numerous passenger trains from over a hundred drones and missiles during the attacks.
“We apologize for the necessary stops and a few nighttime evacuations. Thanks to the coordinated efforts of railway workers and the skill of the Defense Forces, we managed to avoid the worst outcomes,”
the press service added.
