Ukrainian Forces Target Russian Air Defense Systems in Crimea and Eastern Ukraine

Ukrainian military units have successfully conducted a series of targeted strikes against Russian air defense installations, notably destroying a rare radar station associated with the S-400 system in Crimea and several anti-aircraft systems in the eastern regions of Ukraine.

In the temporarily occupied city of Feodosia, operators from the 9th Battalion “Kairos” of the 414th Separate Brigade, known as “Birds of Madyar,” successfully hit a radar system that is part of the advanced S-400 complex. This technology is capable of tracking up to one hundred targets simultaneously and directing multiple missiles over distances exceeding one hundred kilometers.

Military officials noted that the targeted radar station was a particularly challenging objective due to the enemy’s ability to maneuver quickly. They indicated that such installations typically relocate before they can be detected. However, this time, Ukrainian drones managed to outpace the radar’s evasive actions.

In parallel with the operation in Crimea, drone operators also targeted Russian installations in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions. In Donbas, a “Tor” air defense system was struck, while in Luhansk, a radar station and an anti-aircraft installation based on an MT-LB were destroyed.

The elimination of these radar stations is critical for enhancing the operational capabilities of Ukrainian aviation and drone units. Operators emphasized that the destruction of detection systems effectively renders the enemy “blind” in these areas.

Ukrainian forces have achieved significant successes in targeting Russian air defense systems, particularly in Crimea and eastern Ukraine. The destruction of key radar installations is expected to enhance the operational effectiveness of Ukrainian military aviation.
