Ukrainian Forces Target Key Russian Military Installations in Recent Strikes

In a series of coordinated strikes on March 21, Ukrainian defense forces targeted significant military installations in the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk and Zaporizhia regions. These operations are part of ongoing efforts to disrupt Russian military capabilities in the area.

Among the targets hit was a command post belonging to a unit of the Rubikon center located in Mariupol, a city that has been under Russian control since early in the conflict. Additionally, a repair unit of the Russian army in Khliborobne, also in the Zaporizhia region, was struck, along with a command-observation point in Paraskoviivka, Donetsk region.

The extent of the damage inflicted on these installations and the casualties suffered by Russian forces are currently being assessed.

These recent attacks follow a successful operation on March 20, where Ukrainian forces damaged a Russian A-50 long-range radar detection and control aircraft during an assault on an aircraft repair facility in Novgorod Oblast. This highlights the ongoing focus of Ukrainian military operations on degrading Russian aerial capabilities.

Furthermore, on the same day, Ukrainian forces reported the destruction of a Russian Ka-52 attack helicopter, valued at approximately $16 million, near the settlement of Nadiivka in Donetsk Oblast. This operation was notable for the use of fiber-optic FPV drones, which enabled precise targeting of the helicopter during an attempted evacuation of its crew.

In addition to these strikes, Ukrainian troops also targeted facilities at the Alchevsk Metallurgical Plant in the occupied part of Luhansk Oblast. This plant is involved in the production of artillery shells and the casting and initial processing of large-caliber munitions. It also contributes to the manufacturing and repair of armored steel for Russian military vehicles.

Moreover, Ukrainian forces successfully attacked infrastructure at the Eastern training ground located in Novopetrivka, in the temporarily occupied Zaporizhia region, further demonstrating their commitment to disrupting Russian military operations.

Ukrainian forces have intensified their military operations, targeting key Russian military installations in occupied territories. These strikes aim to diminish Russian capabilities and disrupt their operations in the region.
