Ukraine Extends Power Outage Schedules Amid Ongoing Russian Attacks

As Russian military actions intensify, several regions in Ukraine are extending their power outage schedules, originally set to conclude by 11:00 AM. This development reflects the ongoing challenges faced by the country’s energy infrastructure.

In Mykolaiv Oblast, the local energy provider, Mykolaivoblenergo, has received new directives from the National Energy Company of Ukraine (Ukrenergo) to continue implementing power outage schedules:

  • Subgroups 3.1 and 3.2 will remain without power until 12:30 PM.
  • Subgroups 6.1 and 6.2 are scheduled for disconnection starting at 12:30 PM.
  • The overall forecast indicates that outages in the region will persist until at least 3:30 PM.

In Poltava Oblast, the energy situation remains precarious, prompting the implementation of a power outage schedule on April 3 from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM for the first subgroup.

In Cherkasy Oblast, updated outage hours have been issued based on instructions from Ukrenergo:

  • Subgroups 2.1 and 2.2: 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM
  • Subgroups 3.1 and 3.2: 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM
  • Subgroups 4.1 and 4.2: 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM
  • Subgroups 5.1 and 5.2: 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM

In addition to scheduled outages, emergency disconnections have been reported in Sumy, Kharkiv, Chernihiv, Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, and Zaporizhzhia Oblasts due to ongoing attacks on infrastructure. Energy workers are conducting emergency restoration efforts where security conditions permit.

Nationwide, power restrictions for industrial consumers are in effect from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM. For all consumer categories, planned outages were initially set to end by 11:00 AM, but these timelines are subject to change based on regional circumstances.

In response to intensified Russian attacks, Ukraine has extended power outage schedules across several regions. The ongoing military actions have led to emergency disconnections, with energy providers adjusting to the evolving situation.
