Russian Forces Launch Attack on Kryvyi Rih, Causing Casualties and Damage

Russian military forces launched an attack on Kryvyi Rih in the Dnipropetrovsk region early in the morning, resulting in injuries and a fire in the area. Local officials confirmed that two individuals were wounded during the assault.

According to regional governor Serhiy Lysak, the attack led to a fire that has since been extinguished. The injured, aged 31 and 58, are currently receiving medical treatment.

In a subsequent statement, Lysak reported that the city was targeted again later in the morning by strike drones. Damage has been noted in the Metallurgical district, where several apartment buildings were affected; further assessments are ongoing to determine the extent of the destruction.

Residents in the Kryvyi Rih area have been advised to remain in safe locations due to ongoing air raid alerts.

This incident is part of a broader pattern of nightly attacks by Russian forces across Ukraine, which frequently employ drones and various types of missiles. Ukrainian air defense systems typically intercept a significant portion of these threats.

On the night of March 23, Russian forces targeted Ukraine with 251 strike drones, including models such as Shahed, Gerbera, and Italmas, from six different directions. Approximately 150 of these drones were identified as Shaheds. The attacks affected several southern, eastern, and central regions, with reports of damage also emerging from communities in Kirovohrad and Odesa oblasts.

The recent attack on Kryvyi Rih by Russian forces resulted in injuries and structural damage, reflecting ongoing hostilities in the region. The Ukrainian air defense continues to counter these nightly assaults, which have been targeting various areas across the country.
