Russian Drone Strikes Target Civil Infrastructure in Odesa

In the early hours of March 28, Russian forces launched a drone attack on Odesa, targeting civilian infrastructure in the Ukrainian city. Local authorities reported significant damage and injuries resulting from this latest offensive.

The assault included a strike on a maternity hospital located in the Primorsky district, where a drone hit the roof of the building. Fortunately, staff and patients had already moved to a shelter, which helped prevent more severe consequences and casualties.

Additionally, the attack caused partial destruction of the ceiling between the fourth and fifth floors of a nearby residential building. The shockwave from the explosion shattered windows in various homes throughout the area, leading to further damage.

Fire incidents were also reported in the private sector, with residential buildings igniting as a result of the attack. Emergency services are currently on-site, working to manage the aftermath and extinguish the fires.

Preliminary reports indicate that four individuals sustained injuries during the assault. All affected persons are receiving the necessary medical attention.

The recent drone attack on Odesa by Russian forces has resulted in damage to civilian infrastructure, including a maternity hospital, and has left several individuals injured. Emergency services are actively responding to the situation, addressing fires and providing medical care to the wounded.
