Russian forces launched a drone attack on Kharkiv early in the morning, leading to casualties and a significant fire in the city.
According to regional officials, the strike occurred in the Shevchenkivskyi district, igniting a blaze that emergency services are currently addressing. Oleg Synehubov, the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, confirmed the incident and reported ongoing efforts by emergency responders, including the State Emergency Service, medical teams, and the National Police.
As a result of the attack, two fatalities have been confirmed, with at least five individuals sustaining injuries. Initial reports indicate that all injured parties are in critical condition. The drone strike also caused substantial damage to a civilian enterprise, which is currently engulfed in flames.
The fire, covering an area of approximately 50 square meters, is being actively managed by firefighting units. Authorities continue to assess the situation and provide assistance to those affected.
