Russian Attack Disrupts Heating and Water Supply in Lozova, Ukraine

A recent attack by Russian forces on the Lozova community in Kharkiv Oblast has resulted in significant damage to critical infrastructure, including the largest heating plant in the area and water supply systems. Thousands of residents are now without access to water and heating.

The mayor of Lozova reported that the assault has led to a power outage at the heating plant, which serves nearly 16,000 subscribers. “Temperatures remain below freezing overnight. All efforts are being directed towards preserving the networks and providing heat to residents. I urge citizens not to interfere with internal building systems without guidance from utility workers. Resilience Points are operational,” stated President Zelensky.

The attack has also caused severe issues with water supply, according to local officials. “Utility and energy workers are still on-site. They are doing everything possible, but restoring water supply is currently not feasible,” the mayor added.

Authorities have indicated that they have specific plans in response to the current situation. However, the mayor emphasized that these decisions will not be publicly discussed for the safety of both residents and infrastructure.

The recent Russian attack on Lozova has left thousands without heating and water, causing significant strain on local infrastructure. Authorities are working to address the situation while prioritizing safety in their response plans.
