Russia Continues Targeted Attacks on Naftogaz Facilities in Ukraine

Over the past two days, Russian forces have conducted sustained attacks on Naftogaz facilities in the Kharkiv and Chernihiv regions of Ukraine. These assaults have focused on gas storage and production sites, leading to reported destruction.

According to Naftogaz spokesperson Oleksandr Koretskyi, approximately 60 strike drones were deployed in these operations. He stated that once the security situation permits, specialists from Naftogaz, in collaboration with emergency services, will assess the damage and initiate recovery efforts.

In recent months, Russia has systematically targeted Naftogaz assets across Ukraine. Since the beginning of the year, there have been at least twenty recorded attacks on the company’s facilities.

On February 24, Russian forces again struck gas extraction infrastructure in the Kharkiv region. This follows a previous attack on February 20, when drones targeted Naftogaz facilities in Poltava, resulting in a fire and significant damage.

Russian military forces have intensified their attacks on Naftogaz facilities, particularly in Kharkiv and Chernihiv, leading to significant destruction. The ongoing assaults reflect a continued strategy of targeting Ukraine's energy infrastructure.
