Kyivstar and ‘Return Alive’ Fund Provide Critical Equipment to Ukrainian Military

Kyivstar, a national mobile operator, in collaboration with the ‘Return Alive’ Fund, has delivered equipment valued at 20 million UAH to meet the urgent needs of four army corps under the initiative ‘We Live Here: Mission 077.’

Representatives from Kyivstar Group Ltd’s supervisory board attended the handover, emphasizing their ongoing support for Ukraine since the onset of the full-scale war and their commitment to initiatives aiding Ukrainian defenders.

This marks the second distribution of military supplies under the ‘We Live Here: Mission 077’ initiative.

The military received essential items including interactive panels, charging stations, satellite systems, landline phones, tablets, and other equipment crucial for maintaining uninterrupted and reliable communication within units.

“For Kyivstar, systematic support for Ukraine is vital. Today, the most important thing we can do is support the Armed Forces of Ukraine. If the Ukrainian military holds strong, the entire country will endure. Reliable communication gives them an advantage and helps them operate cohesively and effectively. I thank everyone who contributes to ‘Mission 077’—only by uniting our efforts can we systematically strengthen the Ukrainian military,” stated Oleksandr Komarov, CEO of Kyivstar.

‘We Live Here: Mission 077’ represents the seventh joint project between Kyivstar and ‘Return Alive’ aimed at supporting the military.

The initiative seeks to raise 77 million UAH to ensure communication for four newly established corps defending the northern border. The project is supported by the media partner 1+1 media.

According to Taras Chmut, director of the ‘Return Alive’ Fund, the project provides comprehensive solutions rather than isolated items. All equipment functions as a unified system: Starlink, network equipment for command posts, computers for crews, and tools for operational work with programs like ‘Delta.’

“Of course, all these components require uninterrupted power, so we are also providing charging stations and generators. Quality communication and stable data transmission are critical foundations for both defensive and offensive operations,” Chmut added.

As of the end of February, nearly 50 million UAH has been raised, with over 21 million UAH contributed by mobile operator subscribers through the charitable initiative ‘Superpower: Help the Armed Forces of Ukraine+’ and SMS subscriptions. Kyivstar contributed 20 million UAH, while nearly 10 million UAH came from other donors.

“The equipment we receive is selected based on current needs, available resources, the tasks assigned to the unit, and potential future projects. Given the rapid development of technology, it is crucial that everything the fund provides genuinely enhances our capabilities and allows us to work effectively not only today but also in the future,” stated the commander of the 120th separate communications battalion.

Support for ‘We Live Here: Mission 077’ can be provided through donations or by subscribing to the ‘Superpower: Help the Armed Forces of Ukraine+’ initiative.

Subscribers of Kyivstar’s prepaid service can contribute by connecting to the charitable initiative via SMS or calls to 88032, with up to 50 UAH from each payment being allocated to the fundraising effort.

Kyivstar has partnered with the 'Return Alive' Fund to deliver essential communication equipment to Ukrainian military units, aiming to enhance operational capabilities amid ongoing conflict. The initiative, part of a broader fundraising effort, seeks to raise 77 million UAH to support the military's communication needs.
