A fire erupted at the Albashneft mini-refinery in the Krasnodar region of Russia after debris from a drone reportedly fell on the facility. The incident occurred in the settlement of Novominskaya, as confirmed by the operational headquarters of the Krasnodar region via their Telegram channel.
According to preliminary reports, there were no injuries resulting from the fire. Emergency services are currently on-site, with 39 personnel and 13 units of equipment, including specialists from the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, engaged in firefighting efforts.
Further details indicate that the blaze affected one of the refinery’s storage tanks and spread to an area of approximately 150 square meters.
This incident is part of a broader pattern of attacks on Russian energy infrastructure attributed to unidentified drones. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has referred to strikes on oil facilities as “the fastest sanctions” against Russia.
