Leaders from France, Germany, and the United Kingdom have issued a stern warning to Iran, threatening potential military collaboration with the United States and Israel in response to recent missile attacks targeting their military personnel in the Middle East.
The joint statement, released on the German government’s website, expressed outrage over Iran’s indiscriminate and disproportionate rocket strikes against countries in the region, including those not involved in U.S. and Israeli military operations. The E3 leaders emphasized that these reckless attacks endanger their closest allies and pose a threat to both military and civilian populations throughout the area.
In their statement, the leaders called for Iran to “immediately cease its reckless attacks” and assured that they would take “necessary measures to protect our interests and those of our allies in the region.” They indicated that this could involve, if necessary, the use of proportional military defensive actions aimed at neutralizing Iran’s capacity to launch missiles and drones.
The joint operation between the United States and Israel, which commenced with initial strikes on February 28, resulted in the death of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and a significant number of other high-ranking officials within the Iranian regime. In retaliation, Iranian military forces launched missiles and drones not only against Israel and U.S. military installations in the region but also against several neighboring countries considered allies of the United States. These attacks have targeted both military and civilian sites, including residential buildings, hotels, and airports, as well as European military personnel stationed in the Middle East.
The E3 nations have condemned Iran's recent missile attacks on regional allies and warned of possible military action in collaboration with the U.S. and Israel. This escalation follows a joint operation that resulted in significant Iranian casualties, prompting retaliatory strikes against a range of targets.
