In Vinnytsia, a 59-year-old man was killed, and 11 others were injured, with six requiring hospitalization. The attack occurred around 5 PM, prompting emergency services to respond swiftly to the aftermath.
Mayor Serhiy Morgunov reported that nine private homes sustained damage, with three experiencing substantial destruction. Additionally, two apartment buildings were affected by the blast wave. Morgunov assured residents that temporary housing would be provided in hotels for those in need.
He also urged citizens to refrain from sharing images or videos from the attack site, citing concerns that such information could be exploited by Russian forces.
The drone strikes were part of a broader offensive that began overnight, targeting peaceful urban areas. Lviv was also struck, with damage reported to UNESCO heritage sites and residential buildings. Mayor Andriy Sadovyi announced that 13 individuals had been injured, with the number of casualties expected to rise.
In Ivano-Frankivsk, drone strikes damaged two maternity hospitals, leading to the deaths of two people, including a six-year-old child, while four others were injured.
