On April 4, Russian forces launched a drone attack on a market in Nikopol, located in the Dnipropetrovsk region of Ukraine. The assault resulted in the deaths of five individuals and injuries to more than 20 others.
The attack involved FPV drones, which ignited a fire and caused significant damage to commercial pavilions and a store, as reported by local authorities. Emergency services responded to the scene to manage the aftermath.
Among the injured, 22 people were treated, with eight requiring hospitalization. A 14-year-old girl and two men, aged 28 and 72, are reported to be in critical condition. The remaining victims are receiving medical attention for injuries assessed as moderate.
Injuries among the hospitalized include shrapnel wounds, blast injuries, and burns, with all victims receiving necessary medical care.
