A drone strike in the Ukrainian city of Nikopol has resulted in injuries to 11 individuals, according to local authorities. The attack, attributed to Russian forces, involved an FPV drone that targeted residential buildings and commercial areas.
Among the injured, three people have been hospitalized, including a 16-year-old girl and a 28-year-old woman, both in serious condition. A 25-year-old woman is reported to be in moderate condition. Medical teams are currently providing necessary assistance to the victims.
Nikopol, situated along the Dnipro River, has faced near-daily assaults from Russian forces, which are positioned relatively close to the city. The attacks have included both FPV drones and guided aerial bombs.
In 2024, Andriy Kovalenko, head of the Center for Countering Disinformation, noted that these strikes are part of a training regimen for Russian pilots operating FPV drones.
