In the Shevchenkivskyi district of Kharkiv, debris from an enemy drone has caused damage to windows in residential buildings and several vehicles, according to local authorities.
Mayor Ihor Terekhov reported the incident via Telegram, confirming that there were no injuries resulting from the drone debris. “We have debris falling from an enemy drone in the Shevchenkivskyi district. Windows in apartment buildings and several cars have been damaged. Fortunately, there are no casualties,” Terekhov stated.
The Ukrainian Air Force had previously issued warnings about groups of drones heading towards Kharkiv, with concerns about potential attacks involving guided aerial bombs.
Earlier, Terekhov had reported an incident involving a drone strike on an apartment building in the same district, which resulted in injuries.
Kharkiv and its surrounding region have frequently been targeted by Moscow, which employs various types of drones, missiles, and guided bombs in its attacks. Notably, on March 1, Russian forces struck a dormitory in Kharkiv with a drone, leading to a fire and injuries.
On February 26, during a large-scale assault on Ukraine, Kharkiv was also affected, with ballistic missiles hitting the city as the enemy deployed 17 drones and two missiles.
In addition to the destruction of buildings and infrastructure, residents of Kharkiv often face outages of electricity, water, and heating. Reports frequently indicate casualties, including among children. For instance, there have been reports of Russian strikes on kindergartens in Kharkiv that resulted in injuries to children.
