Drone Attack in Poltava: Casualties and Damage Reported

Late on March 30, Russian forces launched a significant drone attack targeting the city of Poltava, resulting in immediate damage and casualties in the area.

Initial reports indicated that debris from an enemy drone fell in the region, damaging a residential building and injuring at least one individual. Vitaliy Dyakivnych, the head of the regional administration, confirmed that the situation was still being assessed.

Subsequent updates revealed a tragic outcome: one person was confirmed dead and three others were injured, including an eleven-year-old boy who required hospitalization.

This incident is part of a broader pattern, as Russian forces have periodically targeted Poltava and its surrounding areas with drone and missile strikes. For instance, on the night of March 24, a similar attack resulted in damage to residential buildings and a hotel, leading to fires and additional casualties.

Moreover, a previous attack on October 7, 2025, caused significant damage to a railway depot and an energy facility, leaving some residents without electricity.

A recent drone attack in Poltava resulted in one fatality and several injuries, underscoring the ongoing threat posed by Russian military operations in the region. This incident reflects a pattern of attacks targeting both civilian infrastructure and residential areas in Poltava and its surroundings.
