Illustrative photo According to the evidence base of the Security Service, another FSB agent who was preparing a series of Russian airstrikes against strategic infrastructure in Kharkiv was sentenced to 15 years in prison. The SBU informed about this on November 29.
According to the investigation materials, the enemy accomplice turned out to be an employee of a local pharmaceutical company. Under the guise of business trips, the agent collected information about military facilities, including defense enterprises, and “checked” their coordinates with locations on Google maps.
SBU counter-intelligence exposed the suspect and detained him during a special operation in the regional center in September 2023.
“During the search of his apartment and car, mobile phones were seized with diagrams of the locations of potential targets, which he tried to pass on to the FSB,” the report says.
According to the investigation, the convict came to the attention of the occupiers as an ideological supporter of racism, which he repeatedly wrote about in Russian social networks.
“After the recruitment, the agent used a conspiratorial channel of communication with the FSB using anonymous chats in messengers, which he registered on the phone numbers of foreign operators,” the SBU said.
According to the materials of the Security Service, the court found the intruder guilty of ch. 2 Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (treason committed under martial law).
As ArmiyaInform reported, the Security Service of Ukraine detained five people who justified Russian aggression and were waiting for the full occupation of the country. Their activities were conducted in Kyiv, Kharkiv and Donetsk region.
