185 demining groups of units of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine continue to clear the liberated regions of Ukraine from explosive remnants of war. This was announced by the Main Department of Mine Action, Civil Protection and Environmental Safety.
During the last week from November 15 to 22, 2024, 3,938.51 hectares of land were surveyed and cleaned:
- 3,931.26 hectares of agricultural land.
- 0.63 km of power lines.
- 0.1 ha of residential plots.
- 6.52 km of highways.
The works are carried out with the involvement of specialized machinery for mechanized demining.
Over the past week, sappers have defused 1,085 explosive ordnance. A total of 414,656 units of explosive remnants of war have been discovered and destroyed since the beginning of the work (corrected data).
Demining of liberated areas is a key task in ensuring safety for the civilian population, rebuilding infrastructure and returning land to normal use.
