President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi said that Ukraine will wait for signals from the USA after the meeting of the American delegation with the Russian side. He noted that US representatives should report immediately after the negotiations.
Zelensky said this at a press conference with Irish Prime Minister Michal Martin.
“First of all, there will be a meeting of the American delegation in Russia. We will wait for appropriate signals from them. They want to report right after their meeting to us. i think future and subsequent steps depend on these signals, which they will be,” the president stressed.
According to him, the steps will change throughout the day and possibly hourly. Zelenskyi added that Ukraine “receives certain signals”.
“If the signals work like this, if it’s a fireworks show with our partners, then maybe we’ll meet very quickly. We’ll meet with the American delegation. At what level we’ll look again depends on the signals,” the Ukrainian leader said.
He noted that this level will be higher if the signals provide the opportunity to make global but quick decisions.
“If all this is still dialogue, because, you know, there is a lot of dialogue, and results are needed. Our people are dying every day. With all due respect to all the nations of the world. Who helps us, who, unfortunately, doesn’t. Purely Ukrainians are dying,” Zelenskyy noted.
The President noted that the dialogues can be continued, but, he emphasized, a result is needed.
“You can just talk, but you can still achieve the maximum to bring the end of the war closer. I am ready to receive all the signals, ready to meet with President Trump. Everything depends on today’s conversations,” he said.
However, while Zelensky is waiting for an answer, the delegation from the USA is walking on Red Square in the Russian Federation.
