Usyk is recognized as the best heavyweight boxer of our time. Who else is in the top 5?

Boxing analysts of ProBox TV, namely former world champions Chris Algieri and Paul Malignaggi, as well as popular martial arts columnist Teddy Atlas, ranked the five best boxers in the heavyweight division today.

Zhang Zhilei from China took fifth place. Fourth place went to former world champion Joseph Parker from New Zealand. British Daniel Dubois, the current IBF champion, was chosen third.

Tyson Fury, the former unified champion from Great Britain, came second, and Oleksandr Usyk was ranked first by experts.

“He’s one of the greatest heavyweights ever and one of the greatest boxers ever. Realistically, he was the absolute cruiserweight champion, he was the absolute heavyweight champion. He’s actually fighting in a weight class he doesn’t belong in, and he’s beaten all the top guys. He beat Dubois, he beat Anthony Joshua, he beat Tyson, he beat all the guys. I watched the fight last week (it’s about the Joshua-DuBois fight. – note). And I’m like: “Usik is so good. He beat these two guys.” He’s a great athlete and he’s just a winner. He’s just a guy who wins. He doesn’t know how to lose – that’s why he’s where he is,” Algieri said.

“He’s one of the best in history right now. You just heard Chris list the names of the boxers he defeated in that era. He’s one of the best of all time by any measure. If we fix all this with a victory in the rematch, it will be really fundamental and incredible for him,” shared Malignaggi’s opinion.

Earlier, Tyson Fury admitted that Oleksandr Usyk still does to him after the victory.
