The camp of British super heavyweight Fabio Wordley said that there was a preliminary agreement between the parties about a fight with Oleksandr Usyk, but the Ukrainian eventually refused, reports talkSport.
The manager of the Briton, Michael Ofo, said that after Wardley won the interim WBO title, they agreed to all the terms offered by Usyk’s team. However, two weeks later, the Ukrainian champion unexpectedly left the belt, and Wordley automatically became a full-fledged champion.
Previously, the WBC, WBA and IBF heavyweight title holder (over 90.7 kg) Oleksandr Usyk (24–0, 15 KOs) talked about his plans and admitted when he intends to end his professional career. The boxer recently made the WBO title vacant and lost the status of absolute world champion.
