Details: It is noted that on October 27, 2025, the EU Council decided to extend restrictive measures against the leadership of the Transnistrian region of the Republic of Moldova until October 31, 2026.

Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Iceland, Liechtenstein, North Macedonia, Norway, Serbia, Ukraine and Montenegro joined this decision of the EU Council.

“They will ensure that their national policies are in line with this Council decision. The European Union takes note of this commitment and welcomes it,” the statement said.

We will remind: European Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos said that the EU is ready to help Moldova in solving the Transnistrian conflict so that it does not hinder its European integration.
