Ukraine has announced the first online auction for the distribution of quotas for the support of “green” energy, the Ministry of Energy reported on Friday, writes UNN.

Details

“For the first time in Ukraine, SE “Guaranteed Buyer” announced an online auction for the allocation of support quotas for enterprises that produce electricity from alternative energy sources in the state electronic trading system Prozorro.Prodazhi. The first lot was an additional annual support quota for the production of electricity from solar energy with a size of 11 MW”, the message reads.

According to the bidding conditions, the station should be located on the left bank of the Dnieper, in addition to the temporarily occupied territories and the zone of active hostilities.

According to the current legislation, the auction will take place at a price reduction in order to reduce the cost of “green” electricity produced by market participants for consumers, the ministry said. As noted, the maximum amount of the price offer is 9 euro cents per 1 kWh. Applications from potential participants are accepted until October 30, 2024, the auction will take place on October 31, 2024.

Only at the end of the summer, we increased the support quota for producers of electricity from alternative sources in the amount of 110 MW for 2024, and we already have the first auction in the Prozoro.Prodazhi system. This auction is not the last, the next ones will take place throughout the fall. According to the distribution of additional support quotas, 11 MW will fall to solar power plants, 88 MW to wind power plants, 11 MW to other types (biomass, biogas, small hydroelectric power plants)

“This is another step in the direction of European integration and the implementation of advanced practices of supporting “green” energy in Ukraine,” noted Energy Minister Herman Galushchenko.
