According to the interlocutors of the publication, Serhiy Koretskyi, the head of Naftogaz of Ukraine, who was previously called the main contender for the main seat in the energy department, does not want to leave his current place of work and therefore is not considered as the main candidate.
Svitlana Grynchuk, a figure in the NABU films, remains in the chair of the Minister of Energy, but she has already written a statement of resignation. The Verkhovna Rada plans to decide on her release, as well as another “client of NABU” – Minister of Justice Herman Galushchenko – next week.
Scandal in “Energoatom”As UNIAN wrote, on November 10 NABU and SAP launched a large-scale operation to expose corruption in the energy sector. At that time, NABU was informed about a corrupt scheme of influence on strategic enterprises of the state sector, in particular, in “Energoatom”. At that time, law enforcement officers also searched Energoatom and Justice Minister Galushchenko.
According to the investigation, the criminal organization systematically received illegal benefits from the contractors of “Energoatom” in the amount of 10% to 15% of the value of the contracts. In addition, NABU documented the transfer of money from Energoatom to the former deputy prime minister. Judging by the bureau’s video, it is probably about former Deputy Prime Minister Oleksiy Chernyshov.
The National Anti-Corruption Bureau announced suspicions against seven persons in the “Midas” case. For five of them, the High Anti-Corruption Court chose preventive measures in the form of detention with the possibility of bail. Two defendants in the “Midas” case were bailed.
Another figure in the NABU records, Minister of Energy Svitlana Grynchuk, has written a resignation letter.
