Details: Trump explained how he will manage to achieve a settlement of the war. He said he has a “very good relationship” with Volodymyr Zelenskyi and a “very good relationship with President Putin” and expressed hope “that we will get some kind of solution quickly.”

To Trump’s retort about relations with Putin, Zelensky said: “I hope we have a better relationship,” to which Trump replied: “It takes two to tango.”

“We’re going to have a good meeting today. I think the fact that we’re meeting today is a very good sign,” Donald Trump said.

He repeated once again that in case of winning the elections “long before the 20th of January” – the time when the winner of the elections will officially start exercising his powers – “we will be able to come up with something”.

“It’s good for both sides. It’s about time. And by the way, the president (Zelensky) knows it too. He wants to achieve something,” said Donald Trump.

Zelensky and Trump met on Friday in New York at Trump Tower.

This happened after Republicans in the US Congress initiated an investigation into President Volodymyr Zelenskyi’s visit to a munitions factory in Pennsylvania.

The meeting with Trump practically broke down, but in the end the Republican agreed to personal negotiations with the President of Ukraine.
