According to the investigation, the suspects organized the sale of humanitarian aid received from the UN World Food Program. Instead of giving food rations to people who needed them, they removed valuable products from the packages, removed the “Not for sale” and “Humanitarian aid” markings, repackaged them and sold them on the Mykolaiv market.
During the searches, law enforcement officers seized about 2,000 food rations prepared for repackaging, more than 6,000 800 boxes and 200 bags of food, 16,000 cans of canned goods, as well as cash in the amount of about 5 million hryvnias,

Under the procedural guidance of the prosecutors of the Mykolaiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, the defendants were informed of the suspicion of illegal use of humanitarian aid for the purpose of obtaining profit (Part 3 of Article 201-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
