“Everton also started his career in sports, but later decided to become a journalist.”, — write: sport.ua
Everton first played snooker himself, but later connected his life with journalism. I really wanted to comment on snooker, because I was delighted with this sport. He is best known for having worked for more than half a century on the BBC TV channel.
In 1972, Clive Everton founded the famous Snooker Scene magazine. The journalist published several articles of an educational nature, after which readers asked the editor-in-chief to make this section permanent.
Since the beginning of the 80s of the last century, he worked for the BBC in tandem with Dennis Taylor. During their joint broadcasts on the TV channel, there were a lot of curiosities. Clive once fell off a chair live, and there was another occasion when Everton missed the studio due to a fall at home. However, his friend Taylor told the whole of England that Clive was in a hurry to work, riding a snowboard.
Clive Everton died on September 27, 2024.
