We are faced with the need to strengthen air defense capabilities, for example, by increasing air defense systems and electronic warfare systems. Putin announces an increase in the production capacity of UAVs. They are trying to create technological parties , on which certain developments will be carried out. Therefore, we need a strategic decision.” – he emphasized, commenting on the Russian attacks against the background of the double strike of drones on Sumy.
According to the expert, we are talking about long-range strikes on means of production of the Russian Federation. Khrapchynsky believes that Kyiv needs to more actively discuss with its allies the reduction of the potential of the Russian Federation due to strikes on their territory.
“No air defense, even if the entire Air Force takes the side of Ukraine, will not be able to protect against such a Russian drone attack,” he explained.
In addition, the Russians are actively modernizing their UAVs. To ensure better communication, the enemy began to use Starlink for them. This makes the strike drones also reconnaissance, as it also helps in gathering information.
“We deprived them of their eyes by knocking out radar systems such as the A-50 and long-range radar detection, with the help of which they could see most of the territory of Ukraine. In the future, we began to work against their reconnaissance drones with anti-aircraft drones, and this is also successful. But in any in any case, it is necessary to understand that the number of weapons used by the Russian Federation, and those anti-aircraft guns that they use daily on the territory of Kharkiv Oblast, Sumy Oblast, and now Zaporizhzhia, can be destroyed only with the help of strategic decisions, that is, strikes on the territory of the Russian Federation, on production capacities and warehouses,” concluded Khrapchynskyi.
Drone strikes in UkraineAccording to Khrapchynskyi, the Russians want to plunge Ukraine into round-the-clock anxiety.
According to the expert, another purpose of the Russians to launch “Shaheeds” is intelligence. In this way, the occupiers are trying to find vulnerable places in order to then launch rockets along these routes.
