And the probability of death at the front, according to some experts, is increasing every day due to the indecision of the Western allies.

Digen was killed on September 19 in the Kupyansk district, near Kharkiv, writes The Times. According to the publication, he was covering the departure of his comrades from the “Stugna” unit, when he was shot during a fierce melee. His body has not yet been found.

The boy joined the Foreign Legion of Ukraine in 2022 after the beginning of the Russian invasion. From the very beginning, he took part in combat operations on the front line and took part in operations to liberate the territories that were temporarily occupied by the Russians, media reports.

Journalists added that in October 2022, he was seriously injured, losing an eye during an attack on an armored personnel carrier. However, despite this, his determination did not weaken, and after recovering, he returned to the front again this year.

The publication clarifies that Robert became the fifth Irishman to die in Ukraine. While the US and European governments continue to discuss whether to send long-range missiles, heavy artillery systems and other vital equipment to Ukraine, people continue to die, the article emphasizes.

This indecision leads to casualties, warns defense analyst Declan Power:

“Robert Diegen was killed trying to protect his comrades during their retreat. In other situations they would have had air support or artillery support to cover that retreat. Ukraine needs more equipment and support to prevent more deaths like Diegen’s ”

The former Prime Minister of Ireland, Martin Michal, said that people who do not have any military training should not go to war in Ukraine. The publication reports that more than 50% of infantrymen are injured or die within a few days of entering the front.

The war in Ukraine – other newsEarlier, UNIAN reported that there were a few days left to take measures in one of the most dangerous areas on the front.

“The Russians have turned in the direction of: Kurakhove, Vugledar. The situation there is very dangerous and it is not improving. We need to take urgent measures – we have a few days left for this,” he added.

In addition, the ratio of losses in battles with the invaders was named in the Third Assault Division. They report that despite the terrible losses, the occupiers are making every effort to restore their offensive potential.
