StarLadder has lost the right to host CS2 tournaments in 2026

Organizer of e-sports tournaments StarLadder failed to provide the necessary documentation to host their 2026 CS2 Tier 1 events, resulting in all planned events being removed from the official calendar. It was reported Silviu Stroye, CEO of PGL, in a post on the X platform.

According to Stroje, none of the planned StarLadder CS2 tournaments for 2026 will take place because the organizers missed the deadline for submitting additional information set by Valve.

“Several Tier-1 events with CS2 in 2026 will not take place, because they did not have time to submit the necessary details. This applies to all StarLadder tournaments, as well as two of the three FISSURE competitions – Playground 4 and Playground 5,” wrote Silviu Stroje.
