The Ministry of Health announced the deadlines for those who missed the examination for valid reasons.
“The documents issued by the Ministry of Health and Welfare remain valid, and with them all rights, payments, benefits, deferments and social services. If the status is lifelong, there is no need to undergo an assessment,” the Ministry of Health clarified.
Who needs a re-examination?
If the review was to take place in the first half of 2025, the deadline is automatically extended by 6 months from the date of introduction of daily functioning assessment, i.e. until 30.06.2025.
The Ministry of Health noted that those who missed the examination for good reasons should undergo a re-examination by:
- November 1, 2025 – men aged 25-60 with group 2 or 3;
- April 1, 2026 – all other categories.
Who and under what conditions can be excluded from the re-examination assessment
- to people with already established lifetime status of a person with a disability;
- people with severe health disorders (oncology, complete blindness, loss of limbs, etc.).
- those who are in the war zone or in the occupied territories.
- military and law enforcement officers undergoing military service – until the end of their service.
How will everything work?
Instead of the MSEC, the case will be considered by an expert team at the hospital.
The attending physician will form a referral and a case to the expert team in the electronic system. The assessment will take place according to new rules: electronic files and documents, convenient places for assessment, less bureaucracy.
How will disability be established after the liquidation of MSEKFrom January 1, 2025, an updated system for determining disability will begin to operate in Ukraine, which will replace the MSEK. The Ministry of Health explained how the procedure will change.
